1. The roof of the is leaking and needs to be replaced, according to Town Administrator Louis Celozzi. Town Meeting in October will be asked to appropriate funds for the work, which has been estimated to cost $220,000.

2. The repainting of Milford Town Hall will take place over the summer and should take two months, according to an update for selectmen. The contractor will work between 7:30 a.m and 4 p.m. and also on weekends.

5. If you are the kind of driver who has always wanted a low, easy to remember plate number, here's your chance. The state Registry of Motor Vehicles will hold a lottery for low number plates in September. Applications are being accepted through Aug. 13. Applicants will be vying for 124 of the most sought-after plate combinations, including: 73, 295, 449, 493, 7755, and 1Z. In addition to the application being available at mass.gov/RMV, customers may visit . The date, time and location of the drawing will be announced on the Registry's website.
