5 Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 7

A Milford family needs your help in looking for their lost Basset Hound, Flash. Take a look at the face in the photo and call the number if you've seen her.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. The final three candidates will be interviewed Tuesday, beginning at 6 p.m. The second wave was rescheduled because of a medical appointment for one of the selectmen. If you want to watch at home: Milford TV is covering the interviews live.

2. Nomination papers are available until 5 p.m. Friday if you want to run for public office in Milford. If Milford Town Hall closes Friday due to the snowstorm, the deadline will be pushed back to 5 p.m. Monday. BUT that decision hasn't been made yet.

4. Milford Patch has a lot of readers who are actively looking for a lost Basset Hound. Her name is Flash, and she ran away from home on Monday, and is still missing. Take a look at her face on this announcement and see if you see her anywhere in town. She may have been taken in by someone who doesn't know where she belongs.
