1. Several Milford schools will host open houses this week, designed to introduce students and parents to new buildings, and in some cases, new principals. as well as and will hold their student and parent open houses from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday. The K-2 Elementary Schools, , will hold a Kindergarten playground social on Thursday.
3. on Monday learned that Leonard Beaudry of Holliston, who has been the acting system administrator for the town since late May, will become the new information technology manager. The appointment will be made by School Superintendent Robert Tremblay. Beaudry was chosen after a committee of three people, including Tremblay and Town Administrator Louis Celozzi, interviewed five candidates. Beaudry will spend about 60 percent of his work hours in the schools, with the remainder on town duties.
4. Selectmen on Monday appointed Katherine Zeismer to the newly created part-time position of services coordinator, and Johnna O'Loughlin to the newly created part-time position of Senior Center program coordinator. Zeismer will earn $19.51 an hour, while O'Loughlin will earn $19.21 an hour. Both positions are for 19 hours-a-week.
