Medway Oil & Propane was founded in 1954 as "Medway Coal & Grain" by Morris Mushnick, grandfather of current owner Jeffrey Mushnick. At that time they provided fuel oil, coal, grain, cement and trucking services.

In 1965 a massive fire destroyed the Medway Coal & Grain building.  A new building was constructed, the name was changed to “Medway Oil Company, Inc.” and ownership passed to Morris' sons Michael and Samuel.

In 1978 Jeffrey, son of Michael Mushnick, headed up new management and began offering propane gas and opened a gas grill store, a first of its kind in the area, making propane an integral part of Medway Oil.

Jeffrey purchased Medway Oil, in 1986, becoming the third-generation owner. In an effort to provide complete home comfort, he added heating and cooling equipment sales, installation and service, as well as propane gas and pool heating. His “hands on” management style, industry experience, and personal touch has kept the company growing in a highly competitive marketplace.

In 2001 Medway Oil acquired two fuel companies better serving their customers with an expanded fuel inventory.  In 2009 all internal operations were fully computerized, providing improved accuracy and efficiency for all customer accounts.

In 2012 Medway Oil changed their name to Medway Oil & Propane to better represent the fuels offered. Today, Medway Oil & Propane is committed to providing the highest quality products with service that exceeds customers' expectations. They continue to invest in facilities, equipment, and highly trained technical personnel providing added-value to customer relationships.
