Health Inspections: Golden House, Maria's, Nelly's Sandwich Shop, Pepperoncini's, Johnny Jack's

The following restaurants had inspections completed recently.

Editor's Note: the following information is from health inspection reports conducted by the Milford Board of Health.

Maria's Italian Villa, 67 Medway RD., Sept. 6: Keep up with dishwasher log. Kitchen floor needs to be sealed and finished. Bare cement is showing. Owner is getting quotes to avoid having to close down and complete the project. Bar dishwasher is not cleaning glasses.

Golden House, 93 Water St., Sept. 6: Need to clean sink in prep area and clean sink by dishwasher.  Clean Kitchen Aide Mixer. No problems with pests.

Nelly's Sandwich Shop, 113 Central St., Sept. 6: Chicken rotisserie needs to be cleaned.

Pepperoncini's, 201 E. Main St., Sept. 6: Food containers in walk-in need to be covered and dated. Container of cooked food on top of a container of raw chicken. Hand wash sinks have pieces of vegetables indicating improper use. One refrigerator unit next to grill not cold enough. No paper towels at one hand wash station. Ice machine has excessive mold growth. Ice needs to be thrown out and machine sanitized and refilled.

Johnny Jack's, 220 Main St., July 15: One small refrigerator, last on line across from grill, needs to be a little colder. Soda machine dispenser needs to be cleaned on underside. Milk dispenser needs cleaning. Inside temperature is good. All other areas look good.
