Goodbye Gasco

Gasco will close its doors today, as soon as the gas runs out.

A steady flow of customers drove in and out of Friday, on its final day of gasoline sales in Milford.

The service and repair portion of the business has moved to new space on Spruce Street, next to the downtown fire station. The gas sales will end Friday, however, as no gas pumps are available at the new site.

On Friday afternoon, business was brisk. Cars were lining up by 2 p.m., filling up for a Labor Day weekend of heavy travel, or just to say goodbye.

Gasco has a reputation for selling the cheapest gas in town. On Friday, the story was no different. The gas station was selling regular unleaded at $3.70 a gallon.
