Central Street Resale to Change Hands, Offer Home Goods in Near Future

After four years, Central Street Resale will have a new owner and a slightly different focus going forward.

The consignment store at 2 Central St. will be owned by Yolanda Rivera, of Milford, under a business sale expected to be completed soon. The original owner was Jane Robinson.

Milford Selectmen approved the transfer of the second hand license for the store Monday.

The shop features men's, women's and children's clothing, said Rivera. In the future, she said, she would like to expand into home goods, and possibly move toward the concept of a co-op.

Rivera, a resident of Milford for the past five years, said she's excited about opening up her own business near Main Street. "There is potential here," she said. "There is so much good in Milford. I'd just love to see some more."
