Matthew Denice Memorial Run

The 2nd annual Matthew Denice Memorial Bike Run will be Oct. 14. You don't need a motorcycle to participate.

The family of Matthew Denice has announced the 2nd annual Matthew Denice Memorial Bike Run will be Oct. 14.

Registration is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Kick stands up at 11 a.m., with a route from Milford to Wachusett Mountain and back.

The event, which sets off from PiNZ, is not only open to motorcyclists. It will include live entertainment, food, and raffles, all beginning at 1 p.m.

Last year, the first memorial bike run attracted more than 300 motorcycles.

In an event announcement, the Denice family posted: "Please join us in celebrating Matthew's life, share the many great memories of his life and his legacy to have a positive impact on people's lives."

The cost for the ride is $20 per person.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Matthew Denice Memorial Scholarship fund, for scholarships to students graduating from Milford High School, who plan to attend Framingham State University. The first scholarship was awarded over the summer, to Camille Pereira for the 2012-13 school year.
