When Does the Casey Pool in Milford Open for the Season?

Find out this summer's hours for free swim and adult swim.

Editor's Note: The following article has been updated to reflect that the pool will open on Saturday, June 28, and not Saturday, June 21 as originally reported.

The Senator P. Eugene Casey Pool, located at 41 Prospect St. in Milford, is set to open for the summer on Saturday, June 28. 

The pool will be open Monday through Friday from 12 to 6 p.m. for public swim, and 6 to 7 p.m. for family/adult lap swim.

On the weekends, the pool will be open for public swim from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and for family/adult lap swim from 6 to 7 p.m. The pool will close for the fall on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

"We are offering free American Red Cross swim lessons for all skill levels and ages starting at 4 years of age," Caitlyn Shaddock, Manager of the Casey Pool, said in an email to Milford Patch. "Lessons run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. in three, two-week sessions."

The pool will also hold two new classes this summer, one titled "Mommy + Me" that is meant for children aged 6 months to three years, and a session titled "Adult Learn-to-Swim" for residents aged 15 and older. Both classes will begin on Saturday, July 5. 

The first session of lessons runs from July 30 through July 11, and registration will open at 9 a.m. on June 21 at the pool.
