Turn Off TV Tonight, Watch Meteors Instead

The Perseid Meteor shower will put on a show late Sunday, and the viewing should be clear.

Instead of watching TV later tonight, which might be your habit if you're like most Americans, take a walk outside your doors and look to the east.

The Perseid Meteor shower will peak late Sunday into early Monday morning, providing us all with a view of 50 to 70 meteors per hour, according to the Weather Wisdom blog on Boston.com.

The best viewing is from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
