Southwick's Zoo in nearby Mendon last week welcomed a baby giraffe.
The animal was born Thursday to mother Pinda. It has not yet been named.

It was the third giraffe born at the zoo so far this year.
The zoo opens for the season Saturday. Zoo officials said if the weather is warm and sunny, the baby giraffes may be on display.
