Updated: Pilot Spotted in South Milford. If Seen, Do NOT Chase Her.

This one-year-old female Shepherd mix, Pilot, is missing.

The small Shepherd named Pilot, lost for two days, has been spotted several times Wednesday morning in the area of PiNZ and Route 140.

People who see the dog should not try to capture her. She is running away and is scared when someone approaches, said the owner, in a telephone interview. The dog has run through traffic a few times. The advice is to try to act like you don't see her, keep her in sight, and immediately call the owner.

The owner or her friends are available at 978-549-5047.

Pilot, about a year old, escaped from doggie daycare Monday afternoon, around 4 p.m. She has a red collar and tags.

She's about 40 pounds and brown with black markings, and is a Shepherd mix.

Several people reported seeing her running Monday night, the last being about 7 at Vernon Grove Cemetery, where a woman walking her dog saw her run under a property line fence.

She then was spotted Tuesday night near PiNZ, but ran away. Based on the Wednesday sightings, she appears to be in that same general area.
