Milford Board of Health Hosting Rabies, Dog License Clinic Saturday

Find out when the clinic is and how much vaccines will cost this year.

Officials with the Milford and the Hopedale boards of health will host a rabies clinic in Hopedale this Saturday for pet owners in both communities. 

The clinic will be held at the Hopedale Highway Department, 7 Depot St. in Hopedale, and will pet owners can attend using the following schedule:

  • Dogs: 1:30-2:30 p.m. 
  • Cats: 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Vaccines cost $15 for each dog and cat and will be administered by Dr. Richard Heller, DVM, according to the Milford Board of Health.

All dogs will need to be on leashes and cats must be in a carrier or pet traveler. 

Pet owners should note that the vaccinations are effective for one year only for both animals, unless pet owners provide proof of a recent rabies vaccination given nine to 12 months prior to Saturday. With that, owners can obtain a vaccine that is effective for there years.

Milford Town Clerk Amy Hennessy and Hopedale Town Clerk Janet Jacarusso will be on hand to issue dog licenses at the event as well.
