Milford-Based Children Across America Helps in Staten Island

Children Across America volunteers last weekend traveled to Staten Island, NY to deliver much-needed supplies for an area battered by Hurricane Sandy.

Editor's Note: the following information was provided by a Milford-based non-profit that provides education and social services to children and young adults.

Children Across America in Milford sent its Operations Director, Donna DeBlois, and volunteers Brenda Quidoz, Mikala Boobar, Mariah Boobar and Emilie Dick Sunday to a Unitarian Church at 312 Millipore St, Staten Island, NY to deliver toiletries and other needed items for people recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

The volunteers drove from Massachusetts to New York to donate items including baby items, toiletries, laundry detergent and clean up supplies, new and used clothing, food, books, puzzles, craft sets and blankets.
