Jennifer Lopez Rents Out Milford Dance Center to Practice for Concert

Milford got a taste of the celebrity life this weekend. 

Jennifer Lopez rented out the Milford Dance Studio prior to two area concerts at the on Friday and Saturday, according to the center's director, Stephanie Cardoso. 

Lopez was in town to perform at Friday's Summer Jam and Saturday's Kiss Concert at Mansfield's Xfinity Center. Prior to the shows, Cardoso received word from the producer of Saturday's Kiss Concert that the Lopez was planning on staying in Milford during her tour stop and was seeking out a local dance studio in which to rehearse. 

The Milford Dance Studio director referred to the experience as "surreal."

"There were times I had to stop and think, 'Alright, this is not a TV show,'" Cardoso said. "I didn't get to speak with her much; she came in, went right to work. I got to speak with her at the very end on Saturday. She came and shook my hand and thanked me."

Cardoso, though, said she had a great experience working and speaking with Lopez's choreographers and managers at the studio. 

"While they were practicing, I got to talk with them and their dance experience," she said.
