Traffic Stops for the Santa Parade, So Find an Alternative Route Sunday

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. How to put this bluntly: everything stops on Sunday for Santa. The Santa Parade will head down Milford Main Street Sunday afternoon, so if your travel plans had you driving that way, between 3:30 and 6 p.m., find another route.

2. Traffic may stop on Wednesday on I-495. The most heavily traveled day of the year? The day before Thanksgiving. And this one is expected to be wet and slick.

3. State Sen. Richard Moore of Uxbridge recently was recognized for perfect attendance. To date, he has participated in 232 roll call votes earning him a perfect attendance record. Said Moore: “Representing the residents and communities of the Worcester and Norfolk district in the Senate requires me not only to listen and share ideas, but to show up for work – like anyone who maintains a job – and take action.”

4. Reminder: Milford Town Hall closes at 1 p.m. Wednesday for the Thanksgiving holiday. And today, Tuesday, is the last day of classes for kids.

5. In Case You Missed It: Milford residents dropped off almost 10,000 pounds of household hazardous waste at a collection this month.
