Stand Up to Bullying Event, U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy to Hold a 'Twitter Town Hall'

Here are five important or interesting things to know today.

1. Several student council members from Stacy Middle School and Middle School East will attend a regional Stand Up To Bullying event at the DCU Center in Worcester Tuesday. Thousands of middle and high school students and teachers will come together for a one-day program to take a stand against all forms of bullying. During the day, students will discuss the issue in a town meeting, and then be challenged to develop an action plan with a partner school for implementation.

2. The Milford Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking lunch on Friday, Dec. 6 at The Alamo restaurant in Milford. The lunch meeting starts at 11:45 a.m. Friday.

3. U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy III, whose 4th Congressional District includes Milford, will hold a Twitter Town Hall on Monday, Dec. 9. If you have an account on Twitter, follow him @RepJoeKennedy and tweet him a question using #KennedyChat. The town hall will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday.
