Sen. Moore Office Hours, Pumpkin Stroll Openings

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. State Sen. Richard Moore (D-Uxbridge) will hold office hours in Milford on Monday. The hours are 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Milford Town Hall. No appointment is necessary. Constituents requiring immediate assistance should contact Moore’s office at (617) 722-1420 or visit his website.

2. A few openings remain at the Pumpkin Stroll for Milford businesses, according to an email sent out Wednesday by organizer Mike Shain. The Pumpkin Stroll is scheduled for Saturday. Trick or Treating begins at 6 p.m. Space is free for the interested businesses, who need only bring a table and treats to distribute to the children. 3. A new restaurant in Milford is getting good reviews, based on some recents comments posted on Patch. Beijing Dumpling House is at 163 Main St.

4. October is "Let’s Talk Month," an annual awareness-raising effort aimed at encouraging families to talk about sexuality and relationships by providing tools for making these conversations easier. Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts offers the workshops in English and Spanish to help parents become the primary sexuality educators for their children. 5. In Case You Missed It: Where is the unoccupied rental housing in the region? According to the data, more in Upton and surrounding areas than in Milford.
