Selectmen Set Town Treasurer Appointment Details

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Milford Selectmen agreed Monday to appoint a new town treasurer by the end of March, with applications for the newly appointed position due by the end of February. The position will pay in the range of $83,000 to $95,000. The education requirements include a master's degree in a business field, or in lieu of, experience as a town treasurer in another community. Milford Town Meeting authorized the switch from an elected to an appointed Town Treasurer this spring.

2. Siobhan M. Bohnson (pronounced shi-vohn bonn-son) had a brief introduction to Milford Selectmen Monday. She is the new CEO of the Milford Area Chamber of Commerce, and began the position last week. Bohnson told selectmen the chamber and community should work together as partners on issues of importance.

3. Cedarview Circle, off Cedar Street, will get a new sign for an existing street post that states: "Not a Thru Way." Drivers have been heading down the private road, which ends in a cul-de-sac, thinking it will allow them to avoid the intersection with Route 16.

4. Have you seen Pilot? This small Shepherd mix ran off from doggie day care near Dilla Street Monday afternoon and was last seen near PiNZ.
