1. Parents of Milford High School students: reminder that tonight is an open house for parents from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Teachers, counselors and administrators will be on hand. Parents are asked to limit their talk with teachers to no more than 5 minutes.

2. The phone service to Milford High School was knocked out for a time on Wednesday, including to the Milford Community School Use offices, now taking reservations for winter programs. If you are interested in signing up for a MCS program, contact director Len Morcone at lmorcone@milfordma.com.

3. Donnalee Shain, one of the Founders Of Milford-based Thanks To Yanks, and other volunteers recently delivered boxes of donated personal items to Veterans Inc. of Worcester, a shelter for homeless veterans.

4. New hats, mittens and scarves will be accepted through Dec. 20 at the Milford Town Library, on its mitten tree, located in the children's room.

5. In Case You Missed It: Massachusetts State Police will hold a field sobriety checkpoint on a public way in Worcester County from Friday night into Saturday.
