New Bar, Pool Hall Planned for East Main Street.

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Lucky Nine, a new bar and pool hall, will open at 119 E. Main St. this year, in the same space now occupied by the Cans and Bottles Redemption Center. The property will be renovated over the  next several months. The new bar, once opened, will feature 10 pool tables and will be open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily.

2. Mango Thai may be re-emerging. The business closed several months ago, but Milford Selectmen were told by an attorney Monday that the business owner is negotiating now for another space in Milford. The alcohol license, however, has been transferred by the owner to Lucky Nine (see above).

3. The Milford Performing Arts Center will hold an open house at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

4. Milford Community School Use Program will hold an open registration at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the high school, for adults for its fall education and recreation programs.

5. The Central Workforce Career Center is in Milford, and it will offer several seminars this month for job-seekers, including on tips for interviewing and preparing an effective resume. Pre-registration is required.
