Milford Youth Center opens After-School Program

1. The Milford Youth Center is inviting parents to enroll their children in its after-school program, which provides supervised afternoon activities for children and pre-teens to teens in Milford. The center has sports, including boxing and basketball, as well as ongoing activities. Volunteers also are encouraged to participate this year. More information can be found here.

2. Interested in having your child join the Milford Scouts, but not sure when or who is handling what? The scouts in Milford have many different troops that meet at differing times to accommodate parent's schedules. Look and see what works for you.

3. Do you have someone in the family about to learn how to drive? The Teachers Driving Academy again will be offered through the Milford Youth Center and the Juvenile Advocacy Group. The announcement explains the schedule and contains a link for registering.

4. Express Dance & Acrobatics on Cape Road will hold an Open House tonight. The classes begin on Sept. 9. Learn more about what's available, and when the classes meet.

5. A recovery group for young adults in Milford trying to overcome addiction will begin meeting this month on Thursdays. The group is facilitated by Community Impact of Milford, and will meet starting Sept. 12.
