Milford Youth Center Field Trip to Edaville Railroad

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. A bus full of children and teens from the Milford Youth Center took a field trip to the Edaville Railroad in Carver, courtesy of the Grafton and Upton Railroad CEO Jon Delli Priscoli, (who also owns Edaville Railroad.) “I wanted to do something for our G and U neighbors and this seemed like the right thing to do in the spirit of the season,” Delli Priscoli said. “I talked with the Milford legislative delegation and they suggested we run the trip for the MYC.” Edaville, established in 1946, is currently running its Festival of Lights, and annual holiday feature that runs until the New Year.

2. Express Dance & Acrobatics is hosting an open gym from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday for toddlers. The event is designed for children, ages 18 months to 6 years old. A variety of toddler equipment is available. Registration is not required. The fee is $5 per child.

3. Dancers from King Dance Academy performed in a parade at Disney World, and will be televised nationally as part of the ABC "Christmas Spectacular from Walt Disney World in Florida." The program airs at 10 a.m. Dec. 25 on Channel 5.

4. A volunteer program that matches snow plow volunteers with families of troops is seeking both volunteers and families. See the announcement for more information.

5. In Case You Missed It: the weekend's events includes a concert tonight at Milford High School that will raise funds for the victims of the typhoon that struck the Philippines.
