Milford School Committee to Review MCAS Results, Find Yourself Fridays Returns

Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. The Milford School Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday. The agenda includes a review of the district's recent MCAS score report, and goals for the Superintendent, Bob Tremblay.

2. If you hear gun shots tonight, do not panic. Milford Police will be practicing at the outdoor range near Cedar Street from 4 p.m. to midnight.

3. Congratulations to longtime Milford High School wrestling coach Nick Zacchilli, who has been inducted into the Massachusetts chapter of the Wrestling Hall of Fame.

4. The Milford Board of Heath has scheduled three flu shot clinics in coming weeks, with the help of the Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice of Greater Milford. Check the dates and take advantage of this free opportunity to protect yourself or your children.

5. Find Yourself Fridays are BACK. The first event of the school year is Friday at the Milford Youth Center. Sneakers are being collected at the dance and will be donated in December to youth in the Dominican Republic.
