Milford Farmers Market Coat Drive Begins, Scott Ellmore 5K at High School

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. The Milford Farmers Market continues on Saturday with the farms and vendors that helped make the market a success since late summer. The market is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. next to Milford Town Hall and this week, volunteers will begin collecting "gently used" coats and shoes for a drive. Place them in the collection box on site.

2. Bring your knives to the Farmer's Market this week, seriously! Eric's Sharper Edge will be on site to sharpen knives.

3. A 5K Run and Walk to raise money for Scott Ellmore, a Milford resident fighting cancer, will be 7 to 9 a.m. Sunday at Milford High School. Registrations will be accepted at that time. Registration is $25. Make checks payable to Scott Ellmore's Care Fund.

4. Don't forget: registration for Itty Biddy and Biddy Basketball leagues is 9 a.m. Saturday at the Milford Community School Use Program. Location is the gymnasium lobby at Milford High School.

5. In Case You Missed It: Check out our map that shows the median income in blocks across your neighborhood as reported by the US Census Bureau.
