Milford Area Chamber of Commerce Seeks Volunteers

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Milford Area Chamber of Commerce, led by a new CEO in Siobhan Bohnson, is looking for fresh voices and ideas for some of its signature events. Members on the following committees are needed: Home and Business Expo, Golf Tournament, Auction and Business after Hours monthly events. Contact Bohnson at: 508-473-6700.

2. Rubbish and recycling will be collected on schedule next week, despite the holiday on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

3. Every Wednesday, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Milford Town Library, Alateen meetings are held. Alateen is a fellowship of young al-anon members, usually teens, whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. Young people come together to share experiences, strength and hope with each other, and encourage one another.

4. The Claflin Hill Alternative's Chamber Music Series will feature L'Histoire du Soldat - A Soldier's Tale, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Singh Performance Center, Douglas Road, Whitinsville. Tickets are $19, with students and seniors getting a discount at $15. Click here to order.
