Free Train Rides, Summer Stock, and More

1. Before the summer is over and done, take a moment to enjoy local, summer stock theater. Milford Performing Arts Center will present its summer stock shows, Legally Blonde and Hairspray, on Friday and Saturday at the theater on Main Street. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

2. When I hear "steamers," I think tasty clams. An event this weekend involves a different kind of steamer. The Holliston-based Waushakum Live Steamers, a non-profit that runs miniature steam powered locomotive trains, will have free rides for people on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 3. Save the date: Milford Selectmen will hold an important meeting Monday. It will be the first session in which the board discusses the proposed draft host agreement between the town and Foxwoods Massachusetts casino.
