Last Week for Toys for Tots Donations, New Toy and Book Drive for Children's Hospital

1. Toys for Tots, the new toy collection drive organized by the U.S. Marine Corps., has several local drop-off locations in Milford, but the deadline is coming fast. Toys will need to be dropped off by Saturday at most locations, for distribution. 

2. A new toy and book drive for children who will spend the holidays at Children's Hospital is being organized by Dinner and Company, a catering company that recently moved from Milford to Bellingham. Donations of new toys and books will be accepted through Monday, Dec. 16. Drop off locations include American Karate & Fitness, Holiday Inn Express of Milford, Milford Performing Arts Center, Milton CAT, and WMRC Radio. 3. Spectrum Health Systems, a non-profit that operates substance abuse and mental health services at locations including in Milford, has begun a fundraising campaign, called 'You're Invited to Make a Difference'." 

4. The Milford Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet Thursday at Milford Town Hall.

5. In Case You Missed It: Milford Community School Use will have a program starting in January for pre-schoolers and Kindergarteners, "Stepping to Sounds," designed to help get them to coordinate their motor skills and have fun with other toddlers. Class sizes are limited to eight.
