Election Day in Milford

Here are five interesting or important things to know today.

1. Polls will open at 7 a.m. in Milford, and the turnout is expected to be as heavy as a presidential election. Polls will be open until 8 p.m. See the specific locations here. Milford TV will begin its live coverage of the election results at 7 p.m, from Milford Town Hall.

2. The weather for the election day will be fairly dry but cold. The National Weather Service expects a high of 44 degrees and a chance of sprinkles.

3. The Milford Youth Center is now offering a free sign language class. It runs every Monday afternoon for the next 14 weeks. See the announcement for more details.

4. A special benefit is planned for Friday night at the Milford Performing Arts Center: Singing for Sammi. Friends of Sammi W. will gather to serenade her and raise funds for the family as she fights a brain tumor and cancer diagnosis.

5. In Case You Missed It: Green Street Auto Spa is now open, in the space that used to hold Friendly Car Wash. The new business is owned by an Uxbridge man who operates a car wash in that town, too.
