Casino Free Milford Forum, Treats for Troops Collecting Candy

Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. Casino Free Milford is holding a forum Wednesday night on the Foxwoods Massachusetts casino, at the upper level of Milford Town Hall. The program will include several speakers, including Bill Buckley, chairman of the Milford Board of Selectmen and David Morganelli, a Finance Committee member. It begins at 7 p.m.

2. Wednesday is the final day to register for the casino referendum. The Town Clerk's office will be open until 8 p.m.

3. Know you're going to have extra candy, and don't want to eat it? Donate it to troops serving overseas. Treats for Troops will take that unwanted candy off your hands. Drop off the candy starting on Halloween and up until Nov. 9. See the announcement for locations.

4. RJ Sheedy, a Milford High School student with a talk show on Milford TV, will have another live broadcast at 8 p.m. Saturday. In a note, he said: "On our live show, we will have fame Toy Maker Jason Johnson, Comedian Jay Renaud and Cast member Carlos Rivera from their new show, Twisted TV, and Music from Local Music Award Nominee Tedder Todders."

5. In Case You Missed It: Parking will be banned on the field side of West Fountain Street.
