This column will feature obituaries of late Milford, Holliston and Hopkinton residents.
Theodore E. Mitchell, 76, of Milford, died May 14 in the VA Hospital, West Roxbury. He was the husband of Joan J. (Narducci) Mitchell.

Teddy and his wife Joan were the owners and operators of the White Horse Sports Pub in Gloucester, RI for many years. They previously owned the former Milford Glass and the former Thermal Pane, both in Milford, for several years.

Teddy was born Feb. 27, 1937 in Hopedale, the son of the late Emery J. and Blanche I. (Jolette) Mitchell. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force as a firefighting paratrooper.

Wayne A. Hontz, 50, of Milford, died May 5 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Cathy T. (Kozlowski) Hontz.

A resident of Milford for 25 years, he had previously lived in Bellingham and New Bedford. Wayne possessed a keen sense of humor and loved to write-especially poetry. Marie R. (Giancola) Creamer, 72, of Milford, died May 2 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford after a brave struggle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Creamer.  Mrs. Creamer was born in Marlboro and was a graduate of Marlboro High School, Class of 1958. Following her marriage, she lived for many years in Hopedale, before moving to Milford. She worked as a dental assistant for several years. Marie most recently worked at the former Pago Pago Restaurant and had retired from the Massachusetts Electric Company.  Mark A. Jose “Joe” Marques, 84, of Milford, died April 23 at home in the loving care of his daughters. 

He was employed for 25 years at Digital Corp in Shrewsbury, retiring in 1986. He previously worked for RCA in Needham.
Joe was a member of the Portuguese Club in Milford. He enjoyed upland game hunting, soccer, Club Sporting, and gardening and was especially known for his fig trees. Thomas P. Ruth Anne Bleakney, longtime director of the Milford Senior Center, was a constant presence at the facility and a strong advocate for senior services. Mrs. Bleakney died Wednesday, April 17 of cancer, according to an obituary published by Edwards Memorial Funeral Home. She was 66. The Milford Senior Center, which she directed since 1988, will be renamed in her memory, at the request of the Milford Council on Aging. The Milford Board of Selectmen authorized the renaming Monday. Jo-Ann (Burns) Leclaire, 66, of Milford, died April 16 in the Blaire House of Milford.

She was employed for 27 years at Kidde-Fenwal, Inc. in Ashland, retiring as a supervisor in 2009. She had worked part-time at the Jean Cahill Recreation Program in Milford.

Alex M. Jablonski, 96, of Milford, died April 5 in the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge MA. He was the husband of the late Ethel F. (Hatch) Jablonski who died in 1980. He was born in Franklin, son of the late John and Anna (Ackerman) Jablonski and lived in Milford most of his life. He was a graduate of the St. Mary’s high School in Milford. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Jablonski retired in 1983 from the former Marlboro Footwear where he was employed as a shoe cutter. Tony's Place, a tiny retaurant on Main Street, was crammed with customers this weekend, like always. Dan Demir wanted to keep the breakfast-lunch spot open, following his father Tony's unexpected death Friday, so people could share their memories. Robert E. “Bob” Hensel II, 50, of Milford, died April 3 in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
He was employed for 25 years as a chef at the former Captain Bob’s Seafood Market in Framingham until its closing in 1998. He then served as a chef in several restaurants in the Framingham area.
Mr. Hensel was born May 11, 1962 in Melbourne, FL, son of Robert E. Hensel of Milford and the late Nancy J. (Matott) Hensel. He was a graduate of Framingham North High School.

E. Perry Wood, 93, of Franklin formerly of Milford, died March 24 in Forge Hill Senior Living, Franklin. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Conforti) Wood who died in 2008. His first wife Norma (Phillips) Wood died in 1974. Perry loved to golf and was past president of the men’s league at Clearwater Country Club, Clearwater, FL. While living in CT and RI, he took great pride in volunteering and chauffeuring celebrities and pro-golfers at many regional PGA Tournaments. Philip Camlin, 92, formerly of Holliston and Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24. A graduate of Hopkinton High School, he was the lead singer in the popular local groups, the Banjo Hobos and then the Banjo Rowdies, who entertained for years throughout Massachusetts and at the New York World’s Fair in 1964. He and Mary were also active square dancers with the Holliston Squares. Jacquelyn Lavoie, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 19 at home with family by her side. She was the wife of Robert J. Lavoie Sr., to whom she was married for 52 years. Born in Salem, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Blanche (Moulton) Irving. 

She was a 1958 graduate of Hopkinton High School, where she excelled in athletics. In later years she worked at the Hopkinton Public Library. Patricia M. Helmuth, 73, died suddenly at home on Monday, Feb. 11. She was employed by Honeywell for 29 years, retiring in August 2010. She was also employed by the Hopkinton Treasurer’s Office for many years. She volunteered yearly with the Hopkinton Marathon Committee. Phyllis C. “Babe" (Mandato) Warren, 88, of Milford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, Feb. 5. She was the beloved wife of the late George G. Warren who died in 1986. Mrs. Warren retired from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Rectory in Milford, where she prepared meals for the clergy. She was previously employed by the Rock Garden Restaurant in Medway where she met her loving husband. Paul Seaver, a dedicated and decorated coach, and longtime advocate for Milford's youth, died Tuesday following a two-year battle with ALS. He was the chairman of the Milford Youth Center Commission, and had served for years as president of the town's Amateur Basketball Association. Mr. Seaver grew up in Milford and graduated from Milford High School in 1977. He initially worked at a family-owned business, Seaver's Express Co. David W. Sproles, 43, of Nicholls, GA died Sunday, Jan. 6. Born in Milford, he lived in town most of his life, until moving in 2009. He was the son of Marie (Maietta) Sproles of Milford and the late Jack Sproles.
