Public concern prompted the district to reevaluate the state of the roofs, and though there has been no evidence of structural damage, Mendon/Upton officials have determined it best to keep kids out of the schools until the snow is removed. On May 3, 2010, Gov. Deval Patrick signed an Act Relative to Bullying in Schools. This law prohibits bullying and retaliation in all public and private schools, and requires schools and school districts to take certain steps to addressing bullying incidents. Having taken a proactive stance on this very important law, the Milford Public Schools have worked tirelessly to draft a comprehensive Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan to effectively address bullying in our schools while actively engaging our community as partners in tackling this issue.
