Matt White of Milford, Mass., who plays for the New England Stars, was named Northern States Junior Hockey League's goaltender of the week.
White, who plays for the New England Stars, stopped 44 of 46 shots on goal in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to the Syracuse Stampede on Saturday.
He also played well in a third period relief effort on Sunday, stopping 12 of 13 shots on goal. White finished the weekend with a .95 save percentage.
Head Coach Darryl Green said White played extremely well on Saturday.
"He made some spectacular saves and was also playing the puck very well," said Green.
