Winter Storm Watch Issued
Milford is expected to get at least 6 inches of heavy, wet snow late Saturday into Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of Central and Western Massachusetts, including Milford, from Saturday into Sunday.
The area around Milford is expected to get at least 6 inches of snow from the storm coming our way, and unfortunately it will be heavy and wet.
This brings a potential for downed tree limbs and power lines, and power outages.
The Winter Storm Watch, issued shortly before 4 a.m. Friday, will take effect Saturday afternoon. It covers an area including Southern New Hampshire, Western and Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Massachusetts.
"Snow will overspread the region Saturday afternoon," the watch states. "The heaviest snow will occur Saturday night into Sunday morning when 1 to 2 inch per hour snowfall rates will be possible. It's possible that the snow may briefly mix with rain for a time near and just south of the Massachusetts Turnpike."
The snow is expected to taper off, from west to east, Sunday afternoon.

Spring really is coming eventually. I saw a robin hopping on the lawn yesterday! "Course by tomorrow it'll be under a 6" snowdrift...
