What Would You Put Here?

The commercial building on East Main Street, near Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, has been vacant for some time.

This is a large property that's had a for-sale sign in front for more than a year.

According to the real estate listing, it is pre-approved as a space for a pharmacy or two fast-food shops. The location is next to the municipal lot, on Main Street,  near Pond Street.

What would you like to see in this space?

It is a busy area, but I think a Starbucks or cafe/bakery would be great there. There is definitely parking so no worries there!

it used to be Milford Speed. was a fine little speed shop back in the day. I still have a cherry bomb muffler (that's being used for a custom vehicle build right now infact) which I bought there back around 1997. DUnno about a coffee shop there, what with the Dunkies right up the street, and there's a building two doors uptwon that's had a half dozen (failed ) businesses in there. As long as its not ANOTHER storefront church, please. Aren't there, like 25 of those in town already?

Boston Market sounds ok. How about Denny's?

I'd like to see a locally owned shop, like a mom and pop bake shop. Across the street use to be Renda's. My grandfather took me there all the time. He was a member of the "Renda's Gang" back in the 50's. So we need more local business, although I'd rather see a Starbucks, or IHOP rather than another church or cash exchange place. Milford needs to get back to its old ways..

I would love to see a Trader Joe's too. But realistically, I can't see it doing well in Milford. Something like a Boston Market or Brueggar's would probably do well.

I'd like a Kelly's or Konditor Meister or Ginger Bettys there... then I wouldn't have to travel so far to get my favorites!

Trader Joes is an excellent idea! We don't need another pharmacy.

It would be an awesome spot for Children Across America. We could expand our programming to help more children in the Milford area and the owner could write off the rent as a tax deduction! Dream big! :)

Trader Joes! We dont need anymore coffee shops and we certainly dont need anymore illegals trying to earn money and send it to other countries

I also vote for a Trader Joe's! I'd be there every other day at least.

Trader Joes or a Boston Market are both great ideas that I'd fully support. Not so sure about Denny's or IHOP, they're both pretty gross and Johnny Jacks is right up the street.

The default option for all these "what should go here" polls should always be Taco Bell.

Bigger parking lot, think of the traffic now, then add a busy business right there. As an extra, it wouldn't become another boarding house and or section 8.

I vote for a Starbucks. May I rephrase that, "I beg for a starbucks to be there."
