What Milford Business Were You Sad to See Close in 2012?
During these economic times, businesses come and go all the time. Tell us which ones you were sad to see go in the comments section below.
It was another year of change for Milford businesses.
The Tasting Room opened a wine shop in a space facing West Street this year. The Blessing House Boutique and Thrift Store, and This & That Thrift Store both expanded into larger spaces. Rivera Athletic Center moved into space at Milford Sports Center and Classic Barber Shop opened on Central Street downtown.
Milford has also bid farewell to several businesses this year, including Soccer Spot on Medway Road, Nite Lite Lounge, and the Magic of Cakes by Felice. Napoleon Pizza on Beach Road has been closed for several months. And Crivello's Crossing, one of the oldest family-run restaurants, is for sale.
And while Gasco remains in business, on Spruce Street, it ended its gasoline sales in 2012.

I'm not sure if it was in 2012 but I really do miss Pago Pago. I really liked their Chinese food and the people who work there were really nice and friendly.

Traditional well managed family owned business are closing and tattoo parlors are moving in. Also, how many "chop" barber shops do we need in this town? I recently noticed a gun shop in front of the old Marshals jewelry store?... Why are we accepting these kind of business in our town? How about a nice children's toy store or a good bookstore ?

Sad to close The Soccer Spot. Met some great people and families. Over the years we watched the little ones grown into adults. Some even worked at the store when older. It was great while it lasted!
