I always try to shop locally but only to businesses that invest in their community. As the director of a Milford childrens nonprofit, that is even more important to me now. I know when I was on the milford youth baseball board, Franks Appliances was always a solid contributor to the program. My boys played on several Frank's teams. I have purchased my washer and dryers, refrigerator and stoves from them and always call them for service. Their commitment to the Milford community means a lot to me.

Could I go to lowes or home depot? Yes but why would I? It might save a couple dollars up front but those companies only take from our community, so in the long run I stay local.
