Police Log: Woman Sifting Through Recycling; Missing Teen Found
The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
In the overnight log, police responded to a theft of a dishwasher from an area restaurant, and to a report of a missing teen, who was soon located.
Sunday, March 11
3:55 p.m.: A woman reported her 15-year-old daughter was missing and had been since 1 p.m. Saturday. Police accompanied her to Hunan Gourmet, because she had information her daughter was there. The girl was located.
5:04 p.m.: Police received a complaint of loud music from a South Main Street address.
8:18 p.m.: Police responded to Bugaboo Creek Steak House where the manager reported a dishwasher had been stolen from the rear of the building.
8:57 p.m.: Police responded to a West Street home, where a woman was reporting a disturbance involving her son.
11:01 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to The Tradesman, where a man had hit his head in the parking lot on the trunk of a car. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
11:10 p.m.: An employee at Applebee's called police to report an intoxicated person was trying to leave. The manager then called back to cancel the police response, saying he was going to give the patron a ride to his hotel.
Monday, March 12
12:18 a.m.: A caller reported a tractor-trailer driver had taken down lines on Hollis Street, and had kept going. A neighbor later reported that the wire had been down for some time. Comcast was notified.
6:27 a.m.: Police and firefighters responded to Congress Street, where an elderly woman had fallen in the road while taking out trash. She was taken to the hospital.
7:56 a.m.: A caller on Ravenna Street reported seeing an elderly woman picking up cans from the trash in the area. The woman was spoken to by police.
8:42 a.m.: An officer was on Central Street, checking on kids who were not in school.
12:35 p.m.: A two-car crash with injury was reported near Gasco on South Main Street. At least one person was taken to the hospital.
1:08 p.m.: A caller from Sovereign Bank reported a red pickup truck that is frequently in the lot had reappeared. Police checked and determined all was OK.
