Police Log: Man Hit with Dish, 30 Stolen Beers
The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
In the Feb. 5 - 6 police log, officers responded to several domestic disturbances, and to a report that someone had swiped 30 beers from a convenience store.
Sunday, Feb. 5
5:09 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on State Street, police are seeking a summons to charge Angel P. Pilcolopez, 30, of 1431 Ocean St., Apt. 1, Marshfield, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield at an intersection.
6:21 p.m.: A complaint came in that an intoicated man, holding a brown paper bag, was walking in the middle of Cedar Street, at Dilla Street. Police could not locate him.
6:57 p.m.: State Police reported a man had complained of a disturbance on Highland Street.
9:01 p.m.: A caller told police he needed to have someone removed from an address on Highland Sreet, the same home referred to above. Police removed the man, who was the caller's brother. The caller obtained a restraining order.
9:58 p.m.: A theft of a 30-rack of beer was reported at Mobil on Medway Road. After an investigation, police are seeking a summons to charge Jeffrey David Murphy, 26, of 8 S. Main St., Apt. 2, Milford, with assault on someone age 60 or older with a dangerous weapon, and shoplifting by asportation.
10:03 p.m.: A Ford Taurus was observed driving "all over the road" on West Street near Cuniff Avenue. The driver was last seen turning on to Cuniff. An officer pulled the driver over, and determined she was not intoxicated.
10:30 p.m.: A person walked in to police headquarters to report a driver in a Chevrolet sedan had passed them twice, on the left side, and then went up and over a curb. The car was last seen turning into the shopping plaza off South Main Street for Scioli's.
10:48 p.m.: A caller complained that his brother — who he had a restraining order against — was outside his home on Highland Street, kicking the front door, and intoxicated. An officer determined it was a misunderstanding.
11:18 p.m.: An elderly woman on Fairfield Court told police that she could hear a buzzing noise coming from the living room area. An officer responded and determined it was a dead battery in a carbon monoxide detector and "advises he will be enroute to Tedeschi for batteries for elderly female."
Monday, Feb. 6
2:05 a.m.: A report of a domestic disturbance was received on North Bow Street. A woman reported two men had been involved in the fight, and one had hit the other in the head with a dish, then fled. Officers located the man at BP. Police are seeking a summons to charge Jose Dias, 39, of 42 N. Bow St., Apt. 1, Milford, with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery.
10:13 a.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported harassment.
10:25 a.m.: A caller from Dunkin Donuts on Main Street reported an internal theft. Police are seeking a summons to charge Kevin M. Leclaire, 23, of 16 N. Bow St., Hopedale, with larceny more than $250.
10:37 a.m.: A caller on Hayward Street told police she had been side-swiped by a garbage truck.
