Police Log: Missing Child, Yelling People
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Wednesday, Sept. 26
5:01 p.m.: An officer reported he was waved down by a motorist about a crash on Cedar Street near Interstate 495. No one was injured.
5:07 p.m.: A caller reported a red Chevrolet was "all over the road" on East Main Street, before it pulled into the Bank of America lot. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
5:50 p.m.: Medway Police reported an erratic driver was heading into Milford on Medway Road. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
7:07 p.m.: A report that loud music had been playing all day came in from Winter Street.
7:20 p.m.: A woman reported her 12-year-old grandson was supposed to be picked up at the Milford Town Library, but he was not there. Police later were told the 12-year-old returned home on his own.
8:52 p.m.: Several people were reported to be yelling outside a Church Street apartment. Police spoke to them.
8:56 p.m.": A caller said he could hear a man and a woman yelling and banging items on Beach Street. Police spoke to them.
9:17 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters to report his ex is refusing to let him see his children on the proper visitation day. He asked that the information be logged.
10:16 p.m.: A caller on Park Lane Avenue told police he could hear a woman screaming. Police determined it was a person with special needs who had since calmed down.
11:15 p.m.: Two people were reported to be yelling and screaming outside the McDonald's on South Main Street. Police could not locate them.
Thursday, Sept. 27
9:31 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street, police arrested Ingrid Echave, 40, of 15 Poplar St., Apt. 2, Milford, on three warrants and charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
12:00 p.m.: A woman walked into police headquarters to report a theft.
2:23 p.m.: A caller reported a hit-and-run on Chapin Street. No one was injured.
2:59 p.m.: An officer was en route to Middle School East to assist with locating a missing child. Several officers were on Jefferson Street, attempting to locate the youth.
3:36 p.m.: A woman asked to speak to an officer about ongoing harrassment by her ex-husband's new wife.
3:40 p.m.: An elderly man reported he had been kidnapped. Police took him to Milford Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
