Police Log: Men Throwing Snowballs at Cars, Disoriented Woman
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Friday, Feb. 15
6:43 p.m.: A caller reported two men in their 20s were throwing snowballs at vehicles driving by on Fortune Boulevard, near Quarry Drive. The men were gone when police arrived.
7:20 p.m.: A caller on Fruit Street Extension told police that she had just come home, and it appeared someone had attempted to break in. Police reported back that the door was broken, but there was no breaking and entering attempt.
8:30 p.m.: A caller reported for the past three weeks, his house on West Walnut Street was getting egged. He requested extra patrols.
8:33 p.m.: Police responded to a Christina Road address, where a caller reported hearing voices in the basement. Police checked and everything was OK.
8:57 p.m.: Douglas Police asked police to conduct a well-being check on a Milford driver, as she almost struck a police cruiser while it was on a traffic stop. Police checked and everything was OK.
9:04 p.m.: A man in the police department lobby asked for a well-being check on his 3-year-old daughter. He said the mother was refusing to give him the child during visitations. Police checked and the child was fine. The state had told the woman not to let the father have custody.
Saturday, Feb. 16
12:10 a.m.: Millbury State Police reported an erratic driver was coming into Milford on I-495. Police could not locate the driver.
1:07 a.m.: A caller reported a neighbor's daughter was home alone and possibly having an underage party. Police checked and everything was OK.
1:30 a.m.: Four people were being loud in front of a Luby Avenue address. Police checked and everything was OK.
12:04 p.m.: A caller reported he had followed a vehicle into Milford from Mendon and the driver had been operating erratically the whole time. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
12:10 p.m: A woman at the police station inquired if police were looking for her. They were not.
1:24 p.m.: A man reported he had stolen some items from a barbershop on Central St. Police responded and the barbershop indicated they did not want him charged at that time, but he was not welcome back. Police later reported the report was a prank.
1:32 p.m.: A man dropped off a debit card he found.
5:06 p.m.: A caller on Mill Pond Circle reported an elderly woman had just walked into the home, and was confused. A family member arrived to take custody of her. polcie requested an ambulance to evaluate the woman.
5:57 p.m.: A three-car crash was reported on Fruit Street. No injury was reported two vehicles were towed.
Sunday, Feb. 17
2:00 p.m.: Police and firefighters were called to Main Street, where a man had cut his finger with a saw. The finger was still attached. The call was cancelled while the responders were enroute.
