Police Log: Man Selling Meat from a Pickup, Stolen Medications
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Sunday, Jan. 6
4:44 p.m.: A caller reported a man in a white pickup truck was selling meats out of a freezer from the back of the pickup. The man was seen on Congress Street, at Agnes Road. Police responded but the pickup was gone.
6:09 p.m.: A caller said she struck a deer on Purchase Street at Farmer Circle, but she was not injured.
7:58 p.m.: A man reported he was receiving threatening calls from his ex-wife's boyfriend. Police looked into the situation, and found it was not harassment, it was in regard to picking up some belongings.
8:07 p.m.: A 40-year-old man was reported to have overdosed on sleeping pills. He took almost an entire bottle, and possibly drank alcohol as well. He was unresponsive, but breathing when firefighters arrived. No additional information was available.
8:27 p.m.: A crash was reported at Cedar and Dilla streets. A man had a possible facial injury.
9:52 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported she was being harassed by another woman over the internet.
10:10 p.m.: A caller reported a man was yelling in Milford Town Park. He was unsure if the man was yelling at someone, or not. Police could not locate the man.
Monday, Jan. 7
7:37 a.m.: A woman reported medications had been stolen from her purse when she left it in the car on Claflin Street.
9:00 a.m.: A caller on East Main Street told police his dog had been hit by a car. The dog died of its injuries. An animal control officer was contacted.
12:57 p.m.: A 93-year-old woman was reported to be choking at Dairy Queen. A caller reported someone was administering abdominal thrusts. The food was dislodged and the woman was alert and breathing when firefighters arrived.
