Police Log: Illegal Dumping, Wrecks

These are selected items from the Milford police log of Aug. 6-7.

In the overnight police log, officers and firefighters responded to numerous collisions involving cars, and a report of a bicyclist who had possibly broken a knee after falling on East Main Street. In addition, Hopkinton Police reported a possible instance of illegal dumping.

Saturday, Aug. 6

4:54 p.m.: An officer heard the sound of gunshots in the area of Walden Way. On investigation, the officer reported back that people were “taking target practice” on the back of a property, and had proper licenses.

5:09 p.m.:  Ambulance personnel and firefighters responded to an Exchange Street address, where a 25-year-old woman who slipped and fell in her home needed transport to .

7:21 p.m.: A caller reported a fireworks violation in the area of the Maine Oxy-Acetylene Supply Company, 47 Sumner St.

7:56 p.m.: A caller on Pheasant Circle told police a possible domestic dispute was taking place.

8:26 p.m.: Police removed six or seven skateboarders from

8:39 p.m.: A caller on East Main Street reported a “very loud” outside gathering.

9:03 p.m.: Uxbridge Police requested a “be on the lookout” announcement for a woman driving a Nissan minivan, who had left a party in that town “intoxicated and with a child in car.” No additional information was available.

9:12 p.m.: A caller from Village Circle reported hearing about “10 gunshots near her house.” Police officers checked and determined everything was okay.

11:32 p.m.: The caller from East Main Street reported “the noise is back again.”

Sunday, Aug. 7

12:26 a.m.: A caller reported a single-car wreck on Congress at Pine streets. No injuries were reported.

1:03 a.m.: A caller from Middleton Street reported a disturbance outside the address. Police found the people involved were gone when they arrived.

2:31 a.m.: A caller from Littlefield Road reported a stolen cell phone.

11:18 a.m.: A woman driving a Toyota Camry reportedly struck a parked Ford . The woman was reported to have received injuries. No additional information was available.

11:24 a.m.: A grate was clogged on Water Street, and a caller reported it appeared the road would flood soon. A police officer checked and determined the drain was okay.

11:51 a.m.: A two-vehicle collision was reported on East Main Street, near the old Imperial Chevrolet property. No injuries were reported.

12:39 p.m.: A woman who lives on Pine Street told police she was victimized by someone who was staying with her, who took her car and other belongings.

1:49 p.m.: A two-vehicle collision was reported near Minor injuries were reported. After responding, police are seeking a summons to charge Kenya Kifer, 31, of 14B Fruit St., Milford, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to yield at an intersection.

3:14 p.m.: Hopkinton Police reported a vehicle “dumped a bag of trash” near the town line on Cedar Street. The agency provided a possible plate number.

3:41 p.m.: An officer attempted to notify a resident of Dilla Street that a wallet had been turned in to police headquarters belonging to him.

4:41 p.m.: Officers and firefighters responded to East Main Street, for a report of a 26-year-old bicyclist who fell and was believed to have broken a kneecap.
