Police Log: Fight at Bike Shop, Domestic Assault

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

According to the Jan. 22-23 dispatch log, police officers responded to a reported altercation between two women at the Milford Bicycle shop, and to a reported disturbance involving a parent at a specialty education school, the Evergreen Center.

Sunday, Jan. 22

3:18 p.m.: Two women were reported to be in a "physical altercation" at Milford Bicycle. When police arrived, all of the parties were separated, and all refused medical treatment. The woman who called was in a red minivan, the other outside the shop.

5:24 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to report a package had been stolen from her home on South Main Street.

5:26 p.m.: A caller on Purchase at Fountain streets reported an erratic driver heading toward Purchase, on Fountain. The car was gone when police arrived.

5:59 p.m.: State Police attempted to transfer a call from a woman who reported a domestic incident between her and her ex, in the area of Tedeschi. The man possibly left in a vehicle, but no further information was available for local police because the call was disconneccted.

Monday, Jan. 23

4:39 a.m.: Police received a 911 call that was then hung up from a location on Shadowbrook Lane. No one answered on a call-back. Responding officers investigated, and arrested Christopher Hazard, 48, of 5 Shadowbrook Lane, Apt. 7, Milford on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

6:28 a.m.: Firefighters at Station 1 reported a gym member took a fall inside World Gym and was said to be unresponsive. The person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

6:33 a.m.: An on-duty police officer reported he was involved in a two-vehicle crash near Dunkin Donuts on Main Street. No injuries were reported. The police cruiser was towed.

9:04 a.m.: A hit-and-run was reported at Burger King on Beaver Street. No injuries were reported.

1:02 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported at Burger King on Beaver Street. No injuries were reported. One car was towed.

1:10 p.m.: A disturbance was reported at the Evergreen Center on Fortune Boulevard. A caller told police the mother of a client was "acting out of control in the front lobby." Police responded.
