Police Log: Domestic Assault, Car into Pole on East Main

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

 

Thursday, Jan. 24

5:25 p.m.: Panera Bread told police it would have an advertising company going through neighborhoods each day, handing out leaflets. The leaflets will be left at homes and on vehicles.

6:37 p.m.: Police responded to Milford Regional Medical Center, where a patient had reportedly assaulted a woman relative. Police arrested John W. Pollard Jr., 52, of 13 Hope St., Hopedale, on a charge of domestic assault.

8:35 p.m.: Police were called by a woman reporting a disturbance at her home. She said a man broke items in her home, including a light, and then left on foot. Police filed a report.

10:01 p.m.: Police responded to a home on Grove Street, where a woman reported a domestic with her ex-husband. She reported she did not want him in the house because he was intoxicated.

10:20 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on East Main at Hayward streets, police were seeking a summons to charge Kevin P. Ireland, 20, of 22 Depot St., Milford with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Friday, Jan. 25

8:41 a.m.: A backpack was reportedly found on the side of the Milford Fire Department building on Spruce Street.

9:09 a.m.: A caller reported a person was taking apart a TV on the side of the road on Franklin Street.

11:15 a.m.: A caller on Briar Drive reported two men wearing wool hats were sitting in a Toyota parked on the street, and she regarded this as suspicious. Police checked the area and the vehicle and men were gone.

11:40 a.m.: A caller complained that a work crew on Depot Street was working too far into the road.

2:25 p.m.: A caller reported a disturbance near Stacy Middle School over a traffic crash.

2:25 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to East Main Street, at Churchill Street, where a vehicle had struck a pole. The vehicle was towed. The extent of injury was not clear.
