Police Log: Complaints about Skateboards, Lacrosse and Dirt Bikes

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Milford police received several complaints over the weekend about youths doing things like skateboarding and dirt biking in places they weren't supposed to be. Officers also responded to several disturbances, and arrested a woman accused of hitting a 15-year-old girl with a stick.

Friday, April 20

4:38 p.m.: A caller outside complained that a truck was parked in the cross walk, triggering the stop light on East Main Street.

4:42 p.m.: A woman fell off a bike on East Main Street, near Auto Zone, and may have broken her collar bone. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

4:55 p.m.: A caller reported a car on Depot Street, across from the baseball field, was blaring music. An officer spoke to the driver.

5:11 p.m.: A caller told police kids were skateboarding behind

5:20 p.m.: A woman reported a minor motor vehicle crash without injury on Spruce Street. The crash involved a Ford Explorer and a Buick.

6:33 p.m.: Staff at called to report a man in a room was causing a disturbance.

6:54 p.m.: A caller on Kalen Circle complained that kids were playing lacrosse in the road, and were not respecting passing traffic.

9:42 p.m.: Holliston Police reported  an erratic driver heading into Milford on East Main Street. The vehicle was a yellow Corvette. Police spoke to the operator.

11:32 p.m.: A caller told police a silver car with four girls inside, throwing beer bottles out of the car, was heading on East Main Street toward Holliston. Milford advised Holliston Police.

Saturday, April 21

1:39 a.m.: A caller reported a vehicle "with a bunch of kids" was in an area of Zain Circle near new development. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

5:50 a.m.: A caller told police a woman was on the ground on Birmingham Court, and appeared to be intoxicated. She was taken to the hospital.

7:03 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Spruce at Congress streets, police were seeking a summons to charge Evelyn Villegas, 43, of 5 Mark Dr., Apt. C, Milford, with speeding in violation of special regulation and operating a motor vehicle with suspended license.

2:05 p.m.: A man called asking to speak to a police officer, saying he felt he was being harassed due to his race.

3:12 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and asked to speak to an officer about obtaining a restraining order.

4:25 p.m.: A caller on Cedar Street told police a black pickup truck had pulled into a driveway of a house that is for sale. The man inside appeared to duck into the house after all the cars went by. Police checked it out but were unable to locate the man.

4:41 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and reported she was involved in a minor, two-car collision on South Main Street. No injuries were involved.

7:08 p.m.: A caller on Beach Street Extension said a young man on a dirt bike was doing wheelies and burnouts in the area. Police were unable to locate the biker.

9:08 p.m.: A 15-year-old girl reported she had been struck with a stick by a relative, and that it had happened frequently. Police arrested Gehan E. Naseff, 41, of 2 Grant St. Ext., Milford, and charged her with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

11:30 p.m.: A front desk employee at reported an intoxicated man at the hotel was refusing to leave. Police could not find the man.

Sunday, April 22

12:27 a.m.: Police responded to on South Main Street, for a report of a woman shoplifting cosmetics. Police planned to seek a summons to charge Carolyn Murphy, 31, of 61 Easy, Uxbridge, with shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise.

12:54 a.m.: Police responded to Oliver Street for a reported disturbance. Peace was restored.

8:04 a.m.: A woman came in to police headquarters to report her 15-year-old son didn't come home the previous night from a friend's house. Police in Upton located the boy in that town.

11:09 a.m.: The theft of five chainsaws and other equipment was reported on South Free Street.

11:35 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Congress at Spruce streets, with possible injury. Firefighters and police responded. A Nissan Altima was towed. One person was taken to the hospital.

12:51 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and told police that a woman she has a restraining order against had called her at 2 a.m. Police planned to seek a court summons to charge Darlene B. Kerrigan, 48, of 12 Claflin St., Milford, with violating an abuse prevention order.
