Police Log: Cars Broken into at Bike Path Parking Area

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, May 20

5:01 p.m.: State Police reported a crash on I-495 southbound, area of Exit 18. Bellingham responded. The crash was in a wooded area. Four Milford firefighters assisted.

11:31 p.m.: A caller on West Street said she could hear an argument at a house across the street. Police checked and everything was OK.

Tuesday, May 21

12:01 a.m.: Police responded to Walnut at Congress streets, where five to six youths were at the basketball courts.

1:01 a.m.: Police responded to Milford High School, where teens were hanging out.

9:55 a.m.: A caller said three cars were broken into in the parking lot of the Milford Upper Charles Trail, off Cedar Street, near Hopkinton. The women were out walking for about 40 minutes, and told police that a young couple was in a gold or tan Corolla when they arrived. Another vehicle, a Yukon, was broken into as well. Drivers reported purses and contents were taken, and windows broken. The Milford Parks Department responded to clean up the glass. Milford Police contacted Hopkinton Police, as well.

12:09 p.m.: A caller at Target said a woman was shoplifting in the grocery market section. Police responded and located stolen goods in the car. Police arrested Catherine R. Salvi, 23, of 34 Manville RD, Apt. left, Woonsocket, RI, on three warrants.

1:57 p.m.: Police responded to Five Guys Burgers and Fries, where a manager said an employee had been stealing money from other employees' wallets and or purses. Police are seeking a summons to charge Antonio M. Andino, 21, of 12 Claflin St., Milford, with two counts of larceny under $250.
