Police Log: Argument Over Money, Parking Ban

The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Officers responded to complaints about loud or suspicious noise, in the overnight log, and continued to issue parking citations for the winter parking ban.

Thursday, Jan. 27

4:35 p.m.: A two car crash was reported near McDonald's on South Main Street. One car was towed. Two people were taken to Milford Regional Medical Center. Police were seeking a summons to charge Lynn Ann Skrzat, 51, of 141 Annmarie Dr., Bellingham, with failure to stop or yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

9:42 p.m.: A caller on South High Street reported a transformer across the street had blown.

11:20 p.m.: Police received a report of loud music coming from an apartment on Pond Street. The caller said it was his brother, refusing to turn the music down. While he was on the phone, he said his brother had turned the music down.

Friday, Jan. 28

12:32 to 1:33 a.m.: Two officers issued five citations to vehicles that were violating the winter parking ban. The officers were on Church, Fruit and Claflin streets.

2:49 a.m. to 2:56 a.m.: Two officers issued four citations to cars violating the ban on Main Street, Hayward Street and Middleton Street.

6:50 a.m.: A caller reported hearing yelling and screaming, a woman crying, and possibly things being thrown in a Water Street apartment. An officer reported back that no domestic had occurred, just an argument over money.
