Police Log: 30 Winter Parking Ban Violations
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Dec. 3
6:23 p.m.: A caller reported a crash in front of his house on East Main Street. One of the vehicles was blocking his driveway. An officer determined it was a single-car crash involving a deer. Police filed a report.
11:15 p.m.: A caller reported she had been receiving multiple texts from a person threatening her. Police spoke to her.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
1:10 a.m. - 3:47 a.m.: Officers issued 30 citations for violation of the winter parking ban. Officers ticketed on the following streets: Spring Street, Mt. Pleasant Street, North Street, South Free Street, Churchill Street, Jason Circle, Oliver Street, Taylor Street, Thayer Street, South High Street, Sumner Street, Lee Street, Lawrence Street, Claflin Street, Naples Court, Carp Road, Bodio Circle and Jefferson Street.
4:50 a.m.: A crash involving a motorcycle was reported on Main at Spruce streets. The motorcyclist was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.
8:30 a.m.: A caller reported property damage behind St. Mary's Parish Center. A car had struck the railing.
12:44 p.m.: A man walked in to police headquarters and reported he found an iPhone in his yard, but was unable to access it to find out the owner.

Lets catch the crooks who are "robbing" first and stop ticketing the citizens cars. When all the major crimes and crooks are caught, I'd be happy to read about how many winter ban violations there have been.
