Updated: Parking Ban on Main Street Continues Saturday

Paving work on Main Street will continue Saturday. Expect delays.

Editor's Note: the following information is from Milford Police. Work began this past week, but will continue Saturday. Because work crews are paving, people cannot park in the designated no-parking areas. Two cars were towed Friday for parking in the no parking zones.

Original post:

Due to ongoing construction on Main Street, a parking ban for a section of the corridor will be in place from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, weather permitting.

The "No-Parking zone" will start at the intersection of Jefferson Street (Lincoln Square) and extend to Beach Street, near Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, as construction will extend for 12 hours a day and will impact both morning and evening rush hour.

Motorists traveling on Main Street Wednesday through Friday should anticipate lenghty delays.
